Technology in Support of the Environment

For more than 35 years, Remediation Service, International (RSI) has designed and manufactured self-contained, mobile systems for industrial vapor control, tank and pipeline degassing, soil remediation, groundwater treatment, and energy recovery. Our equipment serves the oil, gas, environmental, and energy industries throughout the United States and internationally.

Who We Are

A Division of Innovative Environmental Solutions, LLC

Remediation Service, International (RSI) manufactures portable remediation systems for air, soil, and groundwater treatment. Our innovative equipment helps the oil, gas, environmental, and energy industries control emissions, treat contamination, assist in the removal of tank-bottom waste by increasing the sludge-process vacuum, and recover usable energy from hydrocarbon vapors. RSI systems have been deployed throughout the United States and internationally for leading industrial contractors and consultants.

RSI’s technology assists in removing tank-bottom waste by increasing the sludge-process vacuum and treats hydrocarbon vapors without producing carbon or scrubber waste. These systems can reduce project costs and operating time while recovering usable energy from hydrocarbon waste products.

Why Choose RSI

Experience, Custom Engineering, and Proven Technology

With more than 35 years of experience, RSI provides portable remediation systems throughout the United States and internationally. We support our equipment with technical assistance, field service, pilot testing, and systems specially engineered for individual project requirements.

  • Custom-engineered solutions — If standard equipment does not fit a project’s requirements, RSI’s engineers can design and manufacture a customized system.
  • Patented technology — RSI’s versatile, modular systems can be configured for a range of remediation and degassing applications.
  • Operating efficiency and cogeneration — RSI’s I.C.E. technology uses recovered hydrocarbon vapors as fuel, reducing supplemental fuel requirements and providing the potential to generate usable electricity.

Safety & Compliance

Internal Combustion Is the Safest Way to Destroy Petroleum Hydrocarbons

RSI follows strict Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) policies and procedures. RSI equipment has been permitted by regulatory agencies including TCEQ, SCAQMD, NJDEP, and SJVAPCD. Safety features are incorporated into every system to help protect personnel, equipment, and the surrounding environment.

Combustion Safety

RSI’s zero-open-flame I.C.E. oxidation systems include integrated safety equipment, including a manual-override fire-suppression switch and flame arrestors on both the primary and secondary stages.

Monitoring & Alarms

LEL monitors are installed in every engine compartment. The engines will not start—or will automatically shut down—if ambient vapor concentrations exceed 10% of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). Rate-of-rise temperature sensors and high-and-low alarms also monitor the oil, coolant, and hydraulic systems.

Structural Fail-Safes

Built-in safety features include door-interlock shutdowns, vacuum- and pressure-relief valves, water-knockout tanks with high-level alarms, and clearly displayed hazard and operating-instruction signage.

Workplace Safety Programs

  • Weekly safety-policy and procedure training
  • Regular PPE training and equipment refreshers
  • Safety and Standards of Excellence audits
  • HAZWOPER training and certification
  • Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) program
  • Safety tailgate meetings
  • Drug and alcohol testing
